You can’t make any money online without investment. Online jobs are available, and they are regular jobs that do not require any investment.

We will not drag or bore you with this article; everything is based on my personal experience of 4 years. I will also recommend which skills you should learn and which ones you should avoid at all costs.

Real Ways to Make Money Online in Pakistan As a Pakistani

If you are not running a business, you are probably doing a job, selling services to someone who is. This could be anything – a blog, an online store, an agency providing services to others, or managing people for a business. That’s what I do.

I started with freelancing, and that’s where I’ll begin.

1. Freelancing

It’s defined as: You have a skill, and there is a demand for it. You sell your services to someone for a certain amount, but you live in Pakistan and spend in rupees (Rs.), while earning in dollars ($). That’s why freelancing is well-suited for young graduates or high school graduates.

You just need to build a small portfolio that demonstrates to others that you can get the job done without taking much time and doing it perfectly.

I started with Fiverr, which is the number one freelance platform that Pakistanis sign up for.

Why? Because you can create a gig and start earning. It’s not that simple, but if you have spent enough time learning any skill in your life, finding clients becomes easier as you gain more experience.

Common skills you can learn these days include video editing, AI programming, data science, and cybersecurity.

Notice that I mentioned big skills earlier, but for a common Pakistani who is just starting and wants to make $100/month, you should focus on small skills such as virtual assistant, social media manager, content writing, logo design (I don’t prefer logo design anymore, as AI has taken over this), and SEO (it’s not small, but you can take any section of SEO and build your skills to be in a good lane).

2. Blogging – Recommend But With a Caveat

You can skip this blogging definition if you already know about it.

Blogging is the dynamic practice of regularly publishing date-organized content on a website, offering up-to-date information and fostering reader engagement through features like comments and RSS feeds. Blogs differ from static websites by their frequent updates and interactive elements, providing a platform for businesses and individuals to optimize for SEO through keyword use, quality content creation, and backlink building, ultimately enhancing online visibility, attracting traffic, and establishing expertise. 

There is some initial cost for blogging like domain, hosting and setting up the site if you are technical yourself. You may never get this amount back if you don’t earn anything from your blogging. This is my 4th blog.

Blogging is not for everyone, especially with the latest Google Core Updates. If you are an expert in your field, you can excel in any area; dive in, establish your blog, and nothing can hinder your progress.

I’m very straight with making money online, because things have gotten difficult and more time-consuming. Before venturing into blogging, ask yourself: What knowledge do I possess that the world values or seeks? If you have something substantial or unique, go ahead, venture into blogging. I have witnessed numerous six-figure bloggers succeed because they understood their purpose.

They knew why they wanted to execute on their specific idea, take an example of Adam Enfroy, this guy saw a huge opportunity in front of him when it comes to software reviews.

He jumped in, designed the whole site, built quality backlinks and his business was doing $100k/month in a vicinity of 2 years.

This is the best time to enter the Pakistan ecommerce market. If you have some money to invest, you should start an ecommerce business. 

Pakistan’s ecommerce market is growing at 15.36% to reach 12.3 billion dollars, and it is predicted to grow to 18.7 billion dollars by 2027, according to Yahoo.

You don’t need platforms like daraz.pk to start. These days the most popular pathway people take is:

1. Shopify
2. Meta Ads
3. Ecommerce Finances

You need to learn only three things, according to the owner of MAD store, an apparel clothing store that achieved 20 crores in sales within a year while spending 7 crores on advertising. This individual is the most knowledgeable person I know in this business.

He is launching his own e-commerce course, which is closing soon on April 15, 2024.

Recently, I’ve observed a growing number of small business owners who have launched e-commerce ventures with minimal revenue and are achieving impressive results, including complete buyouts from the outset.

Thanks to social media, they are leveraging their followers to generate substantial publicity for their online stores, resulting in a surge of sales.

4. Crypto Trading

Yes, it’s not a scam. Those who lack knowledge about cryptocurrency are the ones who criticize the industry. Many individuals, including your neighbors and college friends, are investing and earning profits in cryptocurrency.

To make informed decisions, you need to start learning about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Don’t rely on spot signal groups to make your investment choices; instead, base your decisions on your knowledge.

Spot signal groups are simply providing research and recommendations, but the final decision is yours. You must take responsibility for your profits, calculate your risk, and practice dollar-cost averaging.

During my first investment in cryptocurrency in 2021, I made some profits, but I also lost a significant amount of money due to a lack of research. Now, I follow specific groups that assist me in conducting research before investing in cryptocurrency.

I follow Inspired Analyst for their successful crypto signals. However, even when people trade with them, they may still lose money because they don’t want to conduct their own research.

If you want to start investing in cryptocurrencies, Binance is the best exchange for getting started. You should have active accounts on a couple of crypto exchanges in case something unexpected happens.

5. Earning from Mobile Apps – Not Recommended

Yes, it is a scam. I say this because I have not seen a single person earning a dollar from these mobile apps.

Have you ever seen someone living and feeding their family from this type of income source?

No, you will never find someone. Anyone who tries to get you involved in this scheme, run. They are just trying to push it down your throat as an affiliate income.

I do not blame affiliate marketing, as it is legitimate, and people are doing a wonderful job in affiliate marketing by helping people find the best products in the market.

I beg you not to waste any time thinking or trying to install these weird, scammy mobile apps in the hope that they will help you earn an online income.

6. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing where you help people make purchasing decisions by comparing or reviewing products. If someone buys through your referral, you receive a share of the sale.

Many people mistakenly believe that affiliate marketing is not possible in Pakistan. If you have the same beliefs, you are living in a jungle. 

For instance, Hisham Sarwar, who runs beingguru.com, is a successful affiliate marketer for Hostinger.com and for a couple of other digital assets. He earns a share of the sale when someone signs up for hosting through his referral.

Another example of affiliate marketing is the owner of the darazfaves, it’s an instagram account, who unboxes and demonstrates the use of Daraz products. With over 80,000 followers and just 81 posts, she has built a significant following.

I guess she has started recently, she has the potential to make a substantial income through affiliate marketing if she continues to focus on her niche of aesthetic, low-priced products that her audience enjoys.

Make Money Online in Pakistan Without Investment (Job Route)

There is no way to make money without investment, even in the job you are currently doing. You have made investments in that job by studying in college and acquiring the skills needed to secure that position. However, some individuals still perceive earning money through a job as not requiring any investment, and we will view it in the same light.

7. Online Tutoring

Don’t underestimate online tutoring, this is a very big thing.

I know a man who is currently teaching the Quran in the UAE through WhatsApp and he makes millions of dirhams per year. 

I know people residing in Pakistan who are earning millions through online tutoring.

Every year, a significant number of individuals graduate from various Pakistani universities, but there are not enough jobs available for them. Therefore, they must take the initiative to sustain a comfortable life in Pakistan.

Pakistan is a large country with over 140 million mobile devices, which means these individuals are also utilizing services like Google, Facebook, and YouTube.

Certain companies want to translate and understand the content coming from this region. For instance, if someone is abusing another person on Facebook, Facebook cannot easily detect it. However, they can translate what is being said through technology, but they cannot understand the context.

For these reasons, there are numerous job opportunities for which Urdu-speaking individuals are hired. You provide your services and teach their algorithms about the Urdu language and its culture.

If you are multilingual, you have an even larger market to serve. You can act as a bridge between two countries, two people, or two trades. Just imagine the possibilities that open up to you with learning a new language.

I will not stop here; these are the methods I have observed where Pakistanis are generating substantial online income, without any scams or fluff.
